What were Galaxies like in the early Universe?
We might have found an answer to this question. Using the ALMA telescope Chile, Astronomers have found a very decent Galaxy which they called SPT0418-47. It is located 12 billion light years away means light has taken 12 billion years to reach us we are seeing it as it was 12 billion years old.

When the Galaxy was newly born our universe was only 1.4 billion years old. Astronomers expected it to be turbulent and unstable, but they were surprised to see that it has a disk and bulge similar to our Milky - way and large number of stars being born at its center.
