In September, 2013, a ship headed from Georgia to Mozambique. But the ship needed some technical help so it docked on the Beirut port, Lebanon. On inspection, it was found that the ship was carrying 2750 tons of Ammonium Nitrate. So, it was stopped and forbidden to sail.
When all the efforts to release the ship failed the owner abandoned the ship. The Ammonium was unloaded from the ship and stored in a facility known as Hanger 12.
Since the Ammonium was just laying there.

What is Ammonium Nitrate?
It is a chemical compound with the chemical formula NH4NO3. It is a white colour crystalline solid consisting an ions of Ammonium and Nitrate. It is highly soluble in water. (H2O)
Melting point - 169.7° C
Boiling point - approximately 210° C
Density - 1.725 g/cm³
Crystal structure - Triangle shape {∆}
