Total Solar Eclipse on 14 December, 2020 || Astronomy

Total Solar Eclipse- In the Total Solar Eclipse the, Moon completely covers the whole disc of the sun. It occurs when the new moon comes between the Sun and Earth and casts the darkest part of its shadow, called Umbra, on earth... A full Solar Eclipse is almost as dark as night.

Timing -  This year the Eclipse will go for a period of 6 hours and the maximum eclipse will occur at 12:10 pm.

Protect Your Eyes

Never look directly at the Sun, eclipsed or otherwise without proper protected eyewear. The sun's UV radiations can burn your retinas in your eyes, and cause permanent damage or even blindness.

To watch a solar eclipse safely, were protective sun glasses or project an image of Sun using a pinhole projector.
